I’ve found something as simple as keeping my smartphone in another room when I want to focus, like to work or watch a movie, feels very freeing. Or if I’m going out to run errands or for a walk where I don’t reasonably need a phone, I leave it at home and treat it a bit like a landline. Out of sight, out of mind.
